ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISIONS OF CUBA
Cuba is administratively divided into 15 provinces and 1 special municipality (Isla de la Juventud); Camagüey and Matanzas the two largest provinces and the only ones with an area of over 10,000 square meters; the province of the capital Havana is instead the smallest one, but at the same time also the most populated, thanks to over one million and half inhabitants, with Santiago de Cuba and Holguín just under a million people.In 13 cities there are over 100,000 inhabitants; the distribution of the population is quite homogeneous, given that in almost all the provinces there is an important urban center.
